Bepanthen® Scar Gel is a silicone gel whose modern composition is based on the latest scientific findings. The scar gel is used for the treatment of fresh scars after wound closure as well as for the treatment of older scars (including hypertrophic scars). When used regularly over several months, Bepanthen® Scar Gel helps to prevent red and raised scars, e.g. after an injury, burn or operation. For scars that are already older, Bepanthen® Scar Gel can help them to become flatter and softer. Redness, a feeling of tightness and itching as frequent accompanying symptoms of scars are also alleviated by the application.

Ingredients
Bepanthen® Scar Gel is a silicone gel formulation that forms a breathable film under which the scar is sealed and protected as if in a moist chamber. Dexpanthenol (provitamin B5) with its moisture-binding effect under the protective silicone layer provides optimal conditions for scar healing.
