This blue cheese is made exclusively from raw ewe's milk. Its smooth paste has some holes where the Penicillium Roquefort can spread to obtain a fully veined blue paste that gives this cheese a unique taste, delicate and sharp.
Its round shape makes cutting easier.
What makes this cheese spectacular? This cheese is unique due to:

ROQUEFORT improves the taste of your salads, but you can also use it in sauces and other hot dishes. In addition, we recommend a sweet wine as a food accompaniment.
About the manufacturer:
VERNIERES is the name of one of the oldest families of Roquefort. Its history merges with that of the village and its cheese activity. In Volume I of the Chronicles of Roquefort, from 1433 to 1714, the name VERNIERES is cited more than forty times over the centuries. As in Roquefort "no wheat, no vines, no culture grows", all these VERNIERES were more or less linked to Roquefort cheese, the only local production. They were often owners of huts, which later became cellars.
