Entrecote Cuvée Bag in Box

Vin de France 13.5% Vol. Alk.

This is a magnificent Cuvée with an assemblage of 40% Merlot, 30% Cabernet Sauvignon and 30% Syrah.

Vinification:

The grapes are picked at optimum ripeness. Traditional vinification for 50% of the grapes with gentle extraction of the best components. The other half undergoes a hot pre-fermentation maceration: the grapes are heated to 80°C, followed by an 8 to 12 hour heating of the must. After pressing, fermentation takes place in liquid phase at around 22°C. This is followed by the skilful blending.

Tasting notes:

Colour: Magnificent deep red colour with purple hues.
Nose: A powerful, complex wine that combines notes of ripe fruit (blackberry, cassis), jammy notes with roasted aromas (mocha) and vanilla. Palate: Rich, full-bodied, dense, with a beautiful fleshy attack and a harmonious, fruity finish.

Food pairing:

Entrecôte is the ideal wine to enjoy on its own or as an accompaniment to braised lamb leg, roast beef or veal strips with mushrooms.
