Mini watermelon low in seeds, red

Seedless mini watermelons from the region are a highlight in summer and a refreshing snack in between. The size of about 1.5 kg is ideal for one person. Their pulp contains even more water than that of the cantaloupe - up to 95%.

In the warm season, the sweet watermelon is an ideal thirst quencher. Thanks to the short transport route, the melons can be harvested fully ripe, and you can taste it!

Tips

Covered with cling film, the cut surfaces of the cut watermelon can be kept fresh in the refrigerator for several days.

Preparation

Watermelons are particularly suitable for raw consumption; divide the fruit into segments. In the meantime, there are also seedless varieties that expand the range. Also use for fruit salads, cold bowls, sorbets, desserts or refreshing, even non-alcoholic, fruit bowls.

About the producers

The mini melons currently come from two of our local farmers; Breitseher family and I'm Bauer.

Together with Grandma Erna and our sons Manuel and Matthias, we manage the family business Breitseher. Three generations work down-to-earth, with a lot of know-how and modern technology. With the help of diverse crop rotations, adapted varieties and forecast models, we can achieve excellent quality with minimal use of resources.

Years of experience and the optimal choice of varieties are the prerequisites for top quality. With diverse crop rotations and resource-saving cultivation, great importance is attached to nature.

We at I'MBauer have set ourselves the goal of producing and marketing vegetables in an environmentally friendly and regional way. We want to help shape the future of agriculture and local supply.

In addition to typical Austrian vegetables, we also rely on exotic fruits such as sweet potatoes, melons and artichokes. It is important to us to have a sustainable and positive economic approach for everyone involved. Two generations and two other employees work on our farm.

It is particularly important to us to constantly create new innovations in order to build a sustainable business, because if you want to create something new, you often have to question the old.

Storage recommendation

A whole melon should be stored at room temperature. Already cut pieces stay fresh in the refrigerator, covered with cling film, for the longest time.
