Xylometazoline has vasoconstrictive properties and thus causes swelling of the mucous membrane.
Dexpanthenol is a derivative of the vitamin pantothenic acid, which is characterised by properties that promote wound healing and protect the mucous membrane.
nasic® pur nasal spray for children is used to reduce swelling of the nasal mucosa in the case of rhinitis and to support the healing of skin and mucous membrane lesions, episodic runny nose (rhinitis vasomotorica) and to treat nasal airway obstruction after surgical procedures on the nose.

What should you pay attention to before taking it?

What should you bear in mind before using Nasic® pur Nasenspray for children?

nasic® pure nasal spray for children must not be used

- if you are allergic to
xylometazoline, dexpanthenol or dexanil.xylometazoline, dexpanthenol or any of the other ingredients of this medicine listed in section 6,

- if you have dry inflammation of the nasal mucous membrane with bark formation (rhinitis sicca),

- in babies and young children under 2 years of age.

- for glaucoma (narrow-angle glaucoma),

- after operations in the nose and ear area (removal of the pituitary gland or surgical procedures in which the meninges have been exposed).

Warnings and precautions

.- in patients treated with monoamine oxidase inhibitors (MAO inhibitors) or certain mood elevating drugs (antidepressants) and other drugs potentially increasing blood pressure,

- in patients with severe cardiovascular disease (e.g. coronary heart disease.e.g. coronary heart disease, high blood pressure (hypertension)),

- if you have a heart condition (e.g. Long-QT syndrome),

- in patients with tumour of the adrenal medulla (pheochromocytoma),

- in metabolic disorders (e.g. hyperthyroidism, diabetes).Please talk to your doctor or pharmacist before using nasic - nasal spray for children.
Patients with glaucoma, especially narrow-angle glaucoma, should consult their doctor before using
nasic® pure nasal spray for children.

As with all medicines, caution should be exercised in children and elderly patients.
Children
This medicine should be given to children under 6 years of age only on doctor's orders.
Long-term use and overdose, especially in children, should be avoided. The use in children aged 2 - 6 years and at higher dosage may only be carried out under medical supervision.

Use of nasic® pure nasal spray for children together with other medicines
.Tell your doctor or pharmacist if you are taking/using, have recently taken/used or intend to take/use any other medicines, including medicines obtained without a prescription.

When nasic® pur nasal spray for children and certain mood-altering medicines (MAO inhibitors of the tranylcypromine type or tricyclic antidepressants) are used at the same time, an increase in blood pressure may occur due to effects on heart and circulatory function.

The effect of medicines taken at the same time which have a stimulating effect on the nervous system (sympathomimetics) may be increased, while those with the opposite effect may be weakened.

Pregnancy and breast-feeding
Due to its vasoconstrictive properties, nasic® pur nasal spray should not be used as a precautionary measure for children, as no adequate studies on the unborn child are available.

Use during breast-feeding should be avoided as it is not known whether the active substance xylometazoline hydrochloride passes into breast milk.
Be sure to ask your doctor or pharmacist for advice before using any medicines. Driving ability and ability to operate machines
If used as directed, no impairments are to be expected.

How should the medicine be taken?

How should nasic® pure nasal spray for children be used?

Always use this medicine exactly as described in this leaflet
or exactly as agreed with your doctor or pharmacist. Check
with your doctor or pharmacist if you are not sure.

In children aged 2 to 6 years, unless otherwise prescribed by a doctor, one spray of nasic® pur nasal spray for children is inserted into each nostril up to 3 times a day with the bottle held
upright, inhaling lightly through the nose during the
spraying process. The dosage depends on
individual sensitivity and effect.
The use in children aged 2-6 years is only on a doctor's prescription.

Children aged 6 to 14 years:
In children aged 6 to 14 years, one to
two sprays of nasic® pur nasal spray for children are inserted into each nostril as required up to 3 times daily.

In children up to 14 years of age, the application must be
monitored by parents or adults.

Pull off the protective cap. Before first use, pump several times until an even spray comes out.

Insert the spray head as vertically as possible into the nostrils and pump 1 time each. After use, wipe the spray head for hygienic reasons and replace the protective cap. For all other applications, the dosing spray is immediately ready for use.

Duration of use
Do not use nasic® pure nasal spray for children without medical or dental advice
for longer than 7 days. The doctor should always be consulted about the duration of use in children. Continuous use of nasic® pur nasal spray for children can lead to
chronic swelling and eventually to atrophy of the nasal mucosa.

Please talk to your doctor or pharmacist if you have the impression that the effect of nasic® pur nasal spray for children is too strong or too weak.

If you take a large quantity of nasic® pur Nasal Spray for Children
have used more than you should
.If you have used a
larger amount of nasic®pur nasal spray for children than you should as a result of an overdose or accidental oral intake,
the following effects may occur, especially in children:
dilation of the pupils (mydriasis), nausea, vomiting, blue colouring of the lips (cyanosis), fever, convulsions, heart and circulatory disturbances (tachycardia).(tachycardia, cardiac arrhythmia, circulatory collapse, cardiac arrest, hypertension), pulmonary dysfunction (pulmonary oedema, respiratory disorders), mental disorders. In addition, drowsiness, lowering of body temperature and coma may occur.
If such signs occur, consult a doctor immediately.

Can a habituation effect occur with nasic® pur nasal spray for children?
In the case of a long-lasting cold, long-term uninterrupted use should be avoided. Using the product too often or for too long may increase the risk of drying out the nasal mucous membranes. In addition, the effect may be reduced (habituation effect) or the symptoms of the cold may worsen if the product is suddenly discontinued.

If you forget to use nasic® pure nasal spray for children< /strong>./strong>Do not use twice the amount next time, but continue using as described in the dosing instructions.

What nasic®pure nasal spray for children contains
- The active ingredients are: Xylometazoline hydrochloride and dexpanthenol
10 g solution contains 5 mg xylometazoline hydrochloride and 500 mg dexpanthenol.
One spray of 0.1 ml solution (equivalent to 0.10 g) contains 0.05 mg xylometazoline hydrochloride and 5.0 mg dexpanthenol.
- The other ingredients are: Potassium dihydrogen phosphate, sodium monohydrogen phosphate dodecahydrate, purified water
